HTML meta tags are officially page data tags that you can find between the open and closing head tags in the HTML code of your website. Probably you have no idea of what I am talking about, but they play an important role in the SEO of your website. Let me introduce you to 'meta keywords' and 'meta description'. Some search engines consider both tags, while the rest of them are looking only for the 'description' tag. The last one is the meta data that nearly every search engine uses to describe your web page in their index.

In your website html code, these meta tags look like:
<meta name="keywords" content="keywords,html keywords,meta keywords,keyword data" /> 
<meta name="description" content="Awesome description here not longer than 155 characters" /> 

TIPS:
- The 'description' tag tells the search engine what your page or site is about. Use keywords related to your business through a paragraph.
- The 'description' tag helps with click through rates to your site, and tells users about the content of your website. So, you need to write a REALLY GOOD description.
- Indirectly, the 'description' tag helps with your site rankings.
